ElevenLabs, the AI voice technology company, has announced a major ElevenLabs funding milestone with a $500 million Series D investment that places its valuation at $11 billion. The company made this announcement, reflecting a dramatic increase in investor confidence and a rapid rise in its business scale.
Leading Investors and Strategic Support
The latest ElevenLabs funding round was led by Sequoia Capital, a top global venture capital firm. As part of the deal, Sequoia partner Andrew Reed will join ElevenLabs’ board, giving the investor a direct role in guiding the company’s next phase.
Existing backers played a significant part too. Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) increased its participation by several times the amount it invested previously, and ICONIQ Growth also significantly boosted its support. New participants in the round include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Evantic Capital, and BOND, while longtime supporters such as BroadLight, NFDG, Valor Capital, AMP Coalition, and Smash Capital continued backing the company. More investor names are expected to be disclosed later in February.
Since its founding in 2022, ElevenLabs has now raised a total of about $781 million through multiple funding rounds.
Strong Business Growth and Market Adoption
ElevenLabs has shown strong revenue momentum, closing 2025 with over $330 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). This growth has been driven largely by enterprise adoption of its products, especially tools that help companies build conversational AI interfaces and voice-powered applications.
The company’s products include platforms for voice and chat agents, creative audio generation, and developer-oriented voice infrastructure. Customers span a range of large organisations using these tools for customer support, training, sales engagement, and interactive services.
Purpose of the Funding and Future Plans
ElevenLabs plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate investments in research and product development, especially in conversational AI that can understand and express emotion, advanced dubbing tools, and broader audio-intelligence capabilities. The funding will also support the company’s international expansion, with plans to strengthen teams across major global cities in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, including markets such as India, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico.
Co-founder Mati Staniszewski has described the new capital as critical for helping the company build tools that go beyond basic voice synthesis and enable experiences where AI can speak, type, and act for business use cases.
Rapid Growth from Early Stages
Founded in 2022 by Piotr Dabkowski and Mati Staniszewski, ElevenLabs began by focusing on cutting-edge text-to-speech technology. Over time, it has expanded its product suite into areas such as speech-to-text, dubbing, music generation, and conversational agents used by enterprises worldwide.
The company’s evolution from a niche voice AI platform to a broad provider of advanced audio and conversational tools illustrates why investors have poured significant capital into its growth.
