DoGo Power Innovation Award recognition has put the company’s grid-forming energy storage technology in the spotlight as the energy industry continues to look for solutions that can support increasingly renewable power systems. DoGo Power has received the 2026 Top Innovation Award from EUPD Research for its fully self-developed 4S grid-forming energy storage technology.
DoGo Power Receives EUPD Research Recognition
DoGo Power was presented with the 2026 Top Innovation Award by EUPD Research, which the announcement describes as a leading European research authority. The award was announced on August 13, 2026, in Bonn, Germany. According to the company, the recognition highlights its innovation capabilities in the energy storage sector.
EUPD Research’s Top Innovation Award recognizes manufacturers for progress in energy transition and continued innovation. The award also evaluates technological strength and innovative achievements within the new energy sector, according to the announcement.
4S Technology Brings Four Systems Together
At the center of the recognition is DoGo Power’s 4S grid-forming energy storage technology. The company developed the technology in-house and designed it to integrate four key systems into one technical architecture. These four systems are the Energy Management System (EMS), Power Management System (PMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), and Battery Management System (BMS). DoGo Power says the deep integration of these components allows the systems to work together as part of a unified energy storage platform.
DoGo Power’s own technical information also describes the 4S architecture as a software-defined energy platform. The company says the architecture coordinates functions across the energy management, power management, conversion, and battery management layers rather than treating each component as a separate system.
Focus on Grid-Forming Energy Storage
Grid-forming technology is a major part of DoGo Power’s approach. According to the company, its technology uses algorithms to simulate the operating characteristics of synchronous generators. This allows the system to establish its own voltage and frequency references.
DoGo Power says this capability is designed to address grid stability challenges associated with the integration of renewable energy at high penetration levels. Its PCS technology also provides grid-forming functions, including voltage and frequency support during grid disturbances, according to the company’s technical material.
AI-Powered Energy Management
The 4S technology also includes AI-powered multi-source collaborative scheduling algorithms. DoGo Power says these algorithms support adaptive optimization across PV, storage, diesel and grid operating scenarios. The company says the system can support both grid-connected and off-grid operations while improving the economic efficiency of energy system operation.
DoGo Power previously explained that its EMS uses algorithms to forecast load demand, electricity prices and renewable generation and then develop dispatch strategies for energy storage projects. These capabilities form part of the company’s wider effort to combine software and hardware within its energy storage solutions.
DoGo Power’s Expansion in Energy Storage
DoGo Power describes itself as a provider of grid-forming energy storage solutions for applications including commercial and industrial facilities, utility-scale projects, mining operations, remote islands and microgrids. The company says its solutions are supported by its self-developed 4S grid-forming technology.
The company has also showcased its grid-forming technology in international markets. In May 2026, DoGo Power presented grid-forming energy storage and a green mine microgrid solution at the Indonesia International Coal & Energy Exhibition. With the 2026 Top Innovation Award, DoGo Power gains further recognition for its work in grid-forming energy storage. The company said it will continue focusing on smart grid-forming technology, work with global partners, and support the development of lower-carbon energy systems as the global energy transition continues.
