SponsorCX, a Utah-based sponsorship management software company, has secured new funding to support product expansion and business growth as organizations across sports and entertainment continue shifting toward digital partnership management tools.
The company announced the investment on Monday, confirming that venture capital firm Kickstart led the round. Existing investors, including Blueprint Equity, Capital Eleven, Frazier Group, and Helm Ventures, also participated. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Lehi, SponsorCX develops software designed to help sports teams, leagues, universities, and entertainment brands manage sponsorship operations through a centralized platform. The company’s tools replace manual spreadsheets and disconnected workflows with automated systems for sponsorship tracking, inventory management, contract fulfillment, and reporting.
Company Focuses on Platform Growth
SponsorCX said the new investment will help expand its corporate operations, strengthen engineering capabilities, and improve its platform services for enterprise customers. The company also plans to continue expanding its presence across the sports and entertainment industries.
CEO Jason Smith said the company is seeing strong momentum as more organizations modernize sponsorship operations.
“Organizations across the industry are making the switch to SponsorCX, and this investment is a commitment to them,” Smith said in the company announcement.
The company has positioned itself as a technology provider focused on simplifying sponsorship management for organizations that handle multiple corporate partnerships and branded assets.
Growing Demand for Digital Sponsorship Tools
The sponsorship industry has increasingly moved toward software-driven operations as brands seek better visibility into campaign performance and partnership fulfillment. Many sports and entertainment organizations still rely on spreadsheets, email communication, and manual reporting systems to manage sponsorship assets.
SponsorCX aims to streamline those processes through automated workflows and centralized tracking tools. Its platform allows organizations to manage sponsorship inventory, monitor activation progress, and organize partnership data within a single system.
According to information published by the company, SponsorCX works with organizations including Clemson University Athletics, Real Salt Lake, and the Premier Lacrosse League.
Investors Continue Backing Vertical SaaS Companies
The latest investment reflects continued investor interest in specialized software companies serving niche business sectors. Industry analysts say vertical SaaS platforms are attracting attention because they solve operational problems within highly specific industries.
SponsorCX operates in the sponsorship and partnership management sector, where organizations increasingly demand better reporting, operational efficiency, and centralized collaboration tools for corporate partnerships.
The company has also continued expanding its leadership structure to support long-term growth and customer expansion efforts.
With the latest funding, SponsorCX plans to further develop its platform while supporting customers across sports, entertainment, and brand partnership ecosystems.
