Healthcare companies are under growing pressure to build digital products that are secure, useful, and compliant. At the same time, developing healthcare software can be complex because applications often need to handle sensitive patient information and meet strict regulatory requirements. Blaze.tech is working to address this challenge, and the company has now secured fresh funding to expand its platform.

Los Angeles-based Blaze.tech has raised an additional $5 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Friale, a healthcare-focused venture firm founded by the family behind HCA Healthcare. The new investment brings Blaze.tech’s total pre-seed funding to $8.5 million, according to current funding reports.

Blaze.tech Targets Healthcare Software Development

Founded in 2022 by Nanxi Liu and Tina Wojcik, Blaze.tech provides a platform for building custom healthcare software. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles and focuses on helping healthcare organizations and health technology companies develop applications while addressing healthcare compliance requirements.

Blaze.tech’s platform combines a visual, no-code application builder with healthcare-focused infrastructure. The company says users can create custom applications, workflows, and automations without having to build everything from scratch. Its platform supports healthcare use cases such as patient portals, patient intake, telehealth, healthcare SaaS products, financial reporting, and clinic onboarding. It also provides integrations with healthcare systems and supports EHR and EMR connections.

New Funding to Support Healthcare Infrastructure

Blaze.tech plans to use the new capital to continue building infrastructure for healthcare applications and further develop its compliance software. The funding comes as healthcare organizations continue to adopt digital tools and look for faster ways to develop applications that can work with existing systems.

The company’s focus is not limited to creating simple internal tools. Blaze.tech says its platform supports production applications and provides features such as HIPAA compliance, user permissions, audit logs, workflow automation, and multiple development environments. The company also offers integrations with EHR and EMR systems, along with support for FHIR and REST APIs. These capabilities are designed to help healthcare teams connect new applications with the systems they already use.

Friale Leads the Round

Friale led the latest $5 million funding round. The investment gives Blaze.tech additional financial support as it develops its healthcare software infrastructure and expands its platform.

The latest financing follows the company’s earlier $3.5 million pre-seed round, which Blaze.tech announced alongside its public launch. That earlier round was led by Flybridge Capital and MaC Venture Capital, with participation from other investors and technology founders. With the latest financing, Blaze.tech has now raised $8.5 million in pre-seed funding.

Building More Compliant Healthcare Applications

Healthcare software needs to do more than simply provide a good user experience. It must also handle sensitive information responsibly and support the compliance requirements that apply to healthcare organizations.

Blaze.tech has built its platform around this need. The company’s website states that its platform is HIPAA-compliant and includes security and compliance features such as role-based permissions, single sign-on, two-factor authentication, and automated audit logs. The platform also allows teams to create workflows that can automate repetitive processes. These can include patient intake, follow-up tasks, notifications, and other operational processes.

A Growing Role for Digital Healthcare Tools

The healthcare industry continues to adopt software across clinical, administrative, and patient-facing operations. However, organizations often need solutions that can connect with existing healthcare systems while meeting security and compliance requirements. Blaze.tech is positioning its platform around that need. By combining application development tools with healthcare-focused infrastructure, the company aims to make it easier for healthcare teams to create and manage custom software.

The additional $5 million in pre-seed funding gives Blaze.tech more resources to continue developing this approach. With $8.5 million raised in total pre-seed funding, the company enters its next stage with a stronger financial base and a clear focus on healthcare software infrastructure. As healthcare organizations continue to invest in digital applications, Blaze.tech will look to build on its platform and help more teams create software that fits their specific operational and patient-care needs.
