The new financing combines private investment with public funding under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. The company will use the capital to expand its artificial intelligence capabilities, autonomous mission operations and space-sensing infrastructure.
Neuraspace Raises €15.6M in New Funding
Neuraspace develops technology for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM). Its platform helps satellite operators monitor objects in orbit, assess collision risks and make decisions about satellite movements.
The latest financing includes investment from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners. It also includes funding awarded through Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The funding gives Neuraspace additional resources as demand grows for technologies that can help satellite operators manage an increasingly crowded orbital environment.
Funding Will Support AI and Space Monitoring
Neuraspace plans to invest the new capital in several areas of its technology. These include further development of its AI platform, autonomous mission operations and proprietary optical sensing infrastructure.
The company also plans to expand NeuraspaceDEF, its defence-focused capability for Space Domain Awareness. The platform is designed to support government and defence users by combining information from different sources to improve awareness of activity in orbit.
Neuraspace uses AI together with space data and orbital analysis to identify potential threats and risks. Its technology is designed to help operators move from simply monitoring orbital activity to making faster and more informed operational decisions.
Helping Satellite Operators Avoid Collisions
Satellite collisions can damage or destroy spacecraft and create additional debris in orbit. As the number of satellites increases, operators need reliable information about objects that could come close to their spacecraft.
Neuraspace’s technology addresses this challenge by analysing orbital information and assessing the probability of potential collisions. The company also works to automate parts of the process that satellite operators traditionally handle manually.

NeuraspaceDEF is aimed at defence and civil-protection applications. The company says the solution can combine information from commercial and sovereign sensors with orbital analysis and AI-based assessment.
This approach can help users build a clearer picture of what is happening around their space assets. It also supports the broader goal of improving the resilience of satellite operations. Neuraspace has worked with organisations in the commercial and institutional space sectors, including the European Space Agency. Its earlier customers and partners have included companies such as Spire Global, GEOSAT, NanoAvionics, Sidus Space and U-Space.
Company Builds on Earlier Funding
The latest financing follows earlier investment in Neuraspace. In March 2022, the company raised €2.5 million, with Armilar Venture Partners leading that round. At the time, Neuraspace said it would use the funding to accelerate the commercialisation of its space debris monitoring and satellite collision avoidance platform.
Since then, the company has expanded its focus from collision avoidance to broader Space Domain Awareness and Space Traffic Management. Neuraspace was founded in 2020 and is led by CEO Chiara Manfletti. The company has continued to develop technology designed to support safer satellite operations as activity in orbit increases.
