AI agents are moving from simple assistants to systems that can carry out tasks on their own. But for these agents to work effectively, they need access to the same digital services that businesses use every day. Naïve is building infrastructure to provide that access, and the company has now raised $28.5 million to expand its platform.

The Palo Alto-based startup raised $28.5 million in Series A funding, bringing its total funding to about $32 million. Nexus Venture Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors and other backers. The funding will help Naïve continue building infrastructure that allows AI agents to access business services and perform tasks with less manual work.

Nexus Venture Partners Leads the Round

Nexus Venture Partners led Naïve’s Series A round. Investors participating in the financing included Y Combinator, Zetta, and Liquid 2. Several individual investors also joined the round, including Gokul Rajaram, Tim Zheng and JD Sherman. The new funding gives Naïve additional resources to expand its technology and develop more infrastructure for AI-powered workflows.

The latest investment comes as developers increasingly use AI agents to handle tasks that previously required people to work across several different software tools and services.

Building Infrastructure for AI Agents

Naïve is focused on the infrastructure layer that allows AI agents to interact with digital services. Its platform provides access to services such as payments, email accounts, phone numbers, cloud infrastructure, and storage through a unified interface.

The company also supports the process of setting up a U.S. limited liability company. However, the process still requires users to complete necessary identity and business verification checks and make required payments. Naïve does not remove those human requirements. The company is also working to make its infrastructure easier for developers to use with popular AI coding tools. Its platform provides prompts that can be used with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and Codex.

More Than 30,000 Developers

Naïve has gained traction among developers since launching its platform. The company has attracted more than 30,000 developer customers, according to reporting on the funding round.

The startup has also reported strong revenue growth. Its annual run-rate revenue increased 10 times during the previous six months, reaching the low double-digit millions, according to information provided by Naïve CEO and co-founder Sean Dorje. This growth reflects the increasing interest in tools that allow developers to build AI agents capable of completing multi-step tasks.

Focus on Cost, Memory and Governance

Running AI agents can require significant computing resources, particularly when agents perform multiple steps or interact with different services. Naïve is therefore working on infrastructure designed to make these systems more efficient. The company is developing four key infrastructure projects covering virtualized sandboxes, model routing and inference optimization, a memory layer, and governance and orchestration.

These systems are intended to give developers more control over how agents operate. Naïve also allows users to set budgets, limit what agents can do, and require human approval for certain sensitive actions. The company is also developing a serverless runtime as part of its broader infrastructure offering.

Naïve Plans to Expand Its Team

Naïve currently has 10 full-time employees. Following the Series A investment, the company plans to continue expanding its technical capabilities and hiring researchers.

The company intends to use the new capital to advance its infrastructure projects and improve the technology that supports AI agents. As AI agents take on more complex tasks, they need reliable access to computing resources, software services, data, and other digital systems. Naïve is positioning its platform around that requirement by bringing several of these resources together.

Funding Comes as AI Agent Adoption Grows

The latest funding gives Naïve more capital to develop its infrastructure at a time when developers are experimenting with AI agents for increasingly complex workflows.

Rather than focusing only on the AI models themselves, Naïve is working on the supporting infrastructure required to help those agents operate in real-world digital environments. With $28.5 million in Series A funding, more than 30,000 developers using its platform, and reported rapid revenue growth, Naïve now has additional resources to expand its technology and pursue its plans for AI agent infrastructure.
